CLUG Webinar On Communication Skills and Personality Development

Jammu,06 April (KNS) :Department of Dean Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu organised Webinar on Communication skills and Personality Development in the Global Business Context dedicated to the theme “AZAADI KA AMRUT MAHOTSAV”.

The objective of the lecture was to build self confidence, enhance self esteem and improve over all personality of the students as they were made aware of the importance of soft skills required for a corporate structure. 

About 100 students and teaching faculty from Constituent Colleges and PGI Schools of CLUJ participated in the event.Prof. BechanLal, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu inaugurated the  event organised under “AATAMNIRBHAR BHARAT”and lauded the efforts of the Department for conducting a webinar on a very relevant theme for young learners.

He exhorted that developing personality is key to success and dwelt on the concept of grooming one’s self to bring about positive changes.

Ms. Pallvi Arora, Assistant Professor, Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management, University of Jammu was the Resource Person at the event. She stressed that effective communication skills play a crucial role in honing one’s personality.

She elaborated on various parameters like Basic Introduction, Body language, positive attitude, interactive skills and confidence and guided students on improving communication skills, widening ones scope of knowledge, learning etiquettes and manners etc.

Dr. Twinkle Suri, Dean Students Welfare CLUJ formally welcomed the participants and stressed that effective communication and healthy personality are important life skills that enable students to connect with  people around them ,thereby showing them pathways to a promising future.

Afterward, there was an interactive session at the end wherein students raised their queries.

Prof. Bhopinder Singh, Dean Academic Affairs, CLUJ, Dr. Mushtaq  Ahmed Lone, Controller Examinations, Deans of Faculties, Coordinators also graced the event.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. Banpreet Kour, Associate Dean, Students Welfare, CLUJ and also gave a formal vote of thanks. Dr. Kuldeep Raina and Dr. Revika Arora , Cultural Coordinators, CLUJ and Assistant Deans, Dr. Geetanjli Rajput, Dr. Maansi Sharma, Prof. Sudesh Kumar, and Prof. Shamim Rather were present on the occasion.(KNS)
