Cloudburst triggers flash floods in Rafiabad hills, 15 visitors rescued, situation under control : officials

Baramulla, Jul 20 (KNS) : 15 visitors were rescued after cloudburst hits Hamam Markoot village of Rafiabad in North Kashmir's Baramulla district on Wednesday, triggering flash floods in the area, however the officials said that situation is under control. 

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that, a cloudburst hit Hamam Markoot village located in the hills of Rafiabad in Baramulla district, causing damage to standing crops, besides a road, leaving vistors stranded in the area. 

An official said, that soon after the flood like situation which occurred after the cloudburst, at least 15 visitors were instantly rescued by the police team of police station Dangiwacha led by the SHO. 

"There wasn’t any loss of life or injury reported in the incident. Everything is under control and the administration is assessing the situation”, the official added.(KNS)
