Bandipora, March 01 (KNS): A private school in north Kashmir's Bandipora district, which was closed two years ago due to financial crunch, was restarted by local volunteers on Wednesday, bringing cheer to hundreds of students and people in the area.
"One of the greatest achievements which we consider so far, today we were able to restart the Mission of Hazrat Kousar Afghan (RA) as Islamia Kousaria school was reopened after 2 years. The happiness and joy among parents and children were a treat to watch," said Mudasir Ahmad, a social activist.
He said it was one of the leading institutions of that time and since its inception it has produced philosophers, doctors and personalities of great caliber.
"Unfortunately this was closed in 2022 due to Covid-19 crisis and financial crunch," he said, adding that as an interim president he along with some passouts from this institution decided to start this institution from this academic session upto primary level.
He added admission process has already started and they are receiving an overwhelmed response in this noble mission.
"Apart from general teaching, religious and moral education will be our priority which was the sole motive of Hazrat Kousar Afghan (RA)," Mudasir said.
He further said they will soon conduct an Alumni meet of the ex-students and who had remained associated with this Institution. (KNS)
