Demand enhancement of their monthly honorarium

 Srinagar, Nov 22 (KNS): Contingent Local Fund Paid Employees of education department on Tuesday staged protest against the department for ‘failing to enhance their monthly honorarium’.
The employees assembled at Srinagar’s press enclave in this afternoon and chanted slogans against the department for failing to increase their monthly honorarium from Rs 100 for a month to Rs 110 per day.
They were demanding immediate fulfillment of their demands.
President of the union, Nisar Ahmad Rather told KNS that they are working in the department from past several years against meagre amount of RS 100-150 per month. “The court has also directed the department to enhance our monthly honorarium but despite that orders, the department has miserably failed to implement the court orders,” he said.
Rather said that the government must not ignore their plights and should implement the court orders at earliest so that they (employees) could feel a sigh of relief.

The protesting employees later appealed government especially Education Minister, Naeem Akhtar to look into the matter and fulfill their demands at earliest.
“Keeping in view of our sincerity to2wards our duties, we hope that the government will enhance our monthly honorarium in a very short span,” the protesting employees added. (KNS)
