Srinagar, May 29 (KNS): Dozens of youth sustained injuries on Wednesday after clashes broke out between youth and forces in Muhammad Pora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Over three dozen youth were hospital after they received injuries during the clashes in the area. The clashes broke out during the Cordon and Search Operation launched by the government forces following inputs about the presence of militants.
The militants as per reports have managed to escape the place during the clashes.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kulgam, Fazil Ahmad Kochak told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that they received 40 injured persons today. He added 15 among them were shifted to District hospital Kulgam for the treatment.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Official sources however said that scores of injured were also shifted to Srinagar’s hospital for specialized treatment. One of the civilian has sustained bullet injury who was also undergoing treatment at Srinagar hospital, they added.
Officials in District Hospital Anantnag said that they received three injured persons today; all of them had sustained pellet injuries.
They said that two among them had sustained pellet injuries in their eye while one of them has received pellet injury in back. The two among them with pellet injury in eye were shifted to Srinagar’s hospital,” they said. (KNS)
