Srinagar, Jun 22 (KNS): A civilian was Thursday killed during the clashes between youth and forces in Kakapora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The clashes erupted after the killing of three Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants in an encounter that raged between the forces and militants in the area.
The civilian who was killed during the subsequent clashes was identified as Touseef Ahmad of Tengpuna Pulwama.
The 22-year-old youth had received bullet injuries during the clashes and was shifted to Public Health Centre (PHC) Kakapora for treatment.
The doctors at PHC Kakapora referred him to Pampore hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Scores of people were also injured during the clashes who were shifted to Srinagar’s or local hospital for treatment.
Three LeT militants identified as Majid Hameed Mir, son of Abdul Hameed, Shakir Ahmad Jugjoo, son of Bashir Ahmad, residents of Kakapora and Irshad Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Sultan Dar, resident of Aghangipora Padgampora, Awantipora were killed in an encounter that raged between the forces and militants in the area.
