Srinagar, Sep 19 (KNS): A blood donation camp was Monday organized in North Kashmir’s Watergam area of Rafiabad, Baramulla district, in which more than 50 points of blood was donated by the locals of the area.
According to KNS correspondent, more than 50 points of blood was donated by the locals for those who were injured during the ongoing uprising in Kashmir.
Both elders and young generation took part in the event and donated their blood.
Notably, the blood donation camp was organized by Civil Society Watergam Town in collaboration with Blood Bank District Hospital Baramulla and Department of Health.
The blood donors while talking to KNS said that they donated their blood in order to provide help to those who need blood in the time of crisis and emergency.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
With the curfew and restrictions across Kashmir, we are unable to help our people at this point of time, so we decided to donate our blood as a way to help the persons who were maimed by the forces during the current uprising in Kashmir,” said a blood donor.
Pertinently, the senior citizens of the locality also participated in the camp while Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr. Maqbool and Baramulla District Hospital’s blood bank in charge, Dr Reyaz were present.
Both the doctors including Dr Maqbool and Dr Reyaz hailed those who donated their blood and organizers of the blood donation camp in the area. (KNS)
