Civil Service officer who helps people to get treatment

Budgam 10 April (KNS): Civil Services officer from Central Kashmir’s Budgam District is not only winning praise for doing exemplary work  as a police officer, but is devoting his time to “ORZU” health care trust.

Hailing from Humhama area of central Kashmir’s Budgam District, Abdul Waheed Shah, who has qualified civil services has been working to minimize the medical burdens of people who cannot afford them.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) he said that , ORZU health care trust established at  Humhama is a charitable trust in medical care founded on compassionate grounds for the benefit of public in general and poor in particular.

“we are running a pharmacy on no profit basis, Free consultation by renowned doctors, ambulance service totally on no profit basis, Drug De-addiction programme, Poor patient benefit program, Outreach program by way of medical camps, availability of oxygen concentrators, cylinders and fight against Covid 19”,he added.

He also said that the bills for medical tests are taking a toll on financial health of poor People.

“construction of lab is under process and soon we will start various tests in this lab under “no profit no loss” and the trust is providing free medicines to those belonging to poor and minority groups”, he added.(KNS)
