Punjab in a big crisis as officers are feeling victimized by AAP : Chugh

Chandigarh, Sept 24 (KNS): BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today demanded that criminal cases should be registered against the AAP leaders who not only prevent civil servants from discharging their official duty but also subject them to public humiliation.

Condemning the incident in which the deputy commissioner of  Faridkot was made to be in tears by an AAP leader, Chugh said it was an alarming situation in Punjab in which AAP leaders are causing a public mess and are making it difficult for the government officials to discharge their duties.

He said the other day a senior police officer was subjected to public humiliation in Jalandhar and was transferred to please the AAP leaders.

"Ït is their boorish and bullish behaviour of AAP leaders that is bringing shame to Punjab every other day and it is time the police start registering cases against those who are insulting the civil servants and preventing them from doing their official work", said the BJP leader.

He said it is time that all AAP leaders are given a crash course to make them understand how to deal with IAS and IPS  officers, besides giving respect to other government officials.

Chugh said a large number of officers have either quit their jobs or have gone on deputation due to arrogant and bullish behavior of AAP leaders.  There is a situation of panic and fear among officials for which the police must provide protection.(KNS)
