Jammu, Oct 02 (KNS): Senior BJP leader, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo on Saturday urged the Director General of police, Dilbag Sing to probed the vandalisation of Mata Bargashakha Bhagwati Asthapan in Mattan area of Anantnag. 

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Chrungoo said that it was unfortunate that such an incident of vandalisation has taken place.

“With profound regret I take up the unfortunate issue of vandalisation incident at historic Mata Bargashakha Bhagwati Asthapan in Mattan-Kashmir with your goodself. This shameful incident has sent shockwaves among the Hindu fraternity of Kashmir at a global level on the International Day of Peace,” he said. 

He said that it is surprising to note that such an incident could take place despite a great vigil by the security forces in and around Mattan.

He also requested the DGP to initiate an appropriate enquiry into this incident and bring the culprits to justice. (KNS)
