Srinagar, Apr 7 (KNS); The Indian Army’s Chinar Corps organised a World Health Day awareness programme at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Lagama, Uri on Tuesday.
The event, aimed at promoting a disciplined and healthy lifestyle among the youth, witnessed active participation from students and faculty.
According to a defence spokesperson, Chinar Warriors conducted informative sessions covering personal hygiene, sanitation, preventive healthcare, and the importance of a balanced diet.
A special lecture was dedicated to raising awareness against drug abuse, where youth were urged to stay vigilant and contribute towards building a drug-free society.

"The initiative has strengthened the Army's outreach and effectively enhanced awareness on overall societal well-being," the spokesperson said, adding that the Army remains steadfast in its efforts to strengthen military-civil relations and contribute to the holistic development of the Kashmir populace.
