Srinagar, September 10 (KNS): In order to protect children from different abuses, an awareness progarmme was held in Shopian where heads of the village's have participated they had been given knowledge about different rights of Child's.
The Capacity building programme was held in Mini secretariat Shopian by Human welfare voluntary organization with support of UNICEF.
The organization is organising series of trainings for the community based child protection groups.
Deputy Commissioner Shopian Sachin Kumar inaugurated the capacity building training series for community based child protection groups.
The training programmes are aimed at building the required knowledge of community members on child rights, child protection, Juvenile Justice act, mission Vatsalya and family based alternative care for children in need of care and protection so as to realise the dream of happy childhood. (KNS)
