Chief Secretary Muhammad Iqbal Khandey has decided to seek Voluntary Retirement from Services (VRS).
“Yes, I have applied for VRS today,” Khanday told KNS over phone. He however refused to divulge any details about his difference with the government.

Rumours are rife that Khanday was miffed over chairing of cabinet meeting by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on August 21, the day when he was on leave as one of his close relative had passed away. In his absence, the cabinet meeting was attended by senior bureaucrat BR Sharma. (KNS)
