Jammu, March 26:(KNS)  “Chhoona Hai Aasman season-6” a musical Talent Hunt Programme organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police under its civic action programme concluded with a grand finale at Police auditorium Gulshan Ground here this evening.  
 
Director General of Police, J&K Dilbag Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. Vishwajeet music Director,  Prakesh Bharadwaj, Bollywood acting coach and Smt. Sonali Dogra a noted singer were the jury members.  
 
Spl DGsP, R.R Swain, A. K. Choudhary, H. K. Lohia, ADGsP Shri S. J. M. Gillani ,  Dr. S. D. Singh Jamwal , Mukesh Singh , M. K. Sinha, Danesh Rana , IGP CID, Shri M.N Tiwari, Dr Rubinder Kaur, Chairperson, Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), PWWA members, SSP Jammu, SSP PCR, AIsG of PHQ, Commandants of Jammu based battalions and other senior officers, retired police officers besides huge gathering of music lovers attended the grand finale of the event.
 
Director General of Police while speaking on the occasion appreciated ADGP Armed and his team for successful conduct of 6th edition of mega musical event Chhoona Hai Aasman. He congratulated the winner and runner up artists and wished them good luck for the future. He praised the contestants for their exemplary skills and talent and said that J&K Police would provide all possible support and assistance to them as and when required. He said that this event is a successful initiative of J&K Police for many years but we could not organize it during the last two years of the pandemic because of the obvious reasons.
 
 Singh said that this is the power of music that not only contestants but a big number of music lovers from across the Jammu and Kashmir attended this event. He said that all artists performed exceptionally well like the trained singers and added that they all are winners. He then announced cash prizes for all the participants of the finale. He said that these artists made their mark in this UT level singing competition after competing at District, Range and zonal level competitions in three age groups categories and informed that another national level programme is being conducted on 28th of March in which the winners of this event will be sharing the stage with the renowned ed Bollywood singer. He said that these performers are ambassadors of peace and love. He thanked all who attended the event and said that their presence and support encourages the participants. The DGP also praised the performance of the police band and said that they are contributing at every important occasion of J&K Police.
 
On the occasion the Jammu and Kashmir Police Band performed the Jammu Kashmir police song.
 
In his address, ADGP Armed threw light on the aim of organizing the Talent Hunt. He said that the programme has been JKP’s attempt to provide a platform to the youth of J&K to showcase their talent.
 
In 5-12 Category, Ridhima Bajpai emerged winner and Samridhi and Moin-U-Din Kaboo achieved 2nd and third position respectively. In 13-18 category, Divya Bharti emerged and Sahil Kumar and Raghujeet Singh bagged 2nd and third position respectively. Similarly in 19 to 25 category, Shubham Banerjee emerged winner and Junaid Ahmad, Touqir Ali achieved 2nd and third positions respectively.(KNS)
