Jammu August 24 (KNS):  Lets think Chemistry; a quiz competition was organized by Department of Chemistry School of Sciences Cluster University of Jammu under the aegis of azadi ka amrut mahotsav. Quizzes can be used as a brief assessment in the subject Chemistry to measure growth in knowledge, abilities, or skills. The event was organized under the guidance of Head of the Department, Chemistry Coordinator Dr. Deepali Mahajan.

About eight teams of three students in each team from PG and UG semesters participated in the quiz competition. Saloni, Kesar, Pooja, Jasleen, Vishal, Vaishali, Asha, Diksha, Visha, Sonakshi, Khushi, Akshita, Toyaba, Neha, Ahsan, Anvi, Urfee, Niharika, Akhil, Komal, Kirti, Smriti and Arun participated with enthusiasm and zeal. About 70 students were present. The Objective behind to organize Chemistry Quiz competition is to evaluate the knowledge of the participants within academics as well as beyond academics and to make them familiar with the prospects of quizzes and the objectivity of the questions.

E-Certificates were given to all the participants. The Dean Faculty of Sciences Dr. Sanjay Verma, Dean Academic Affairs Dr. Naveen Anand and Director Counselling Cell Prof. D.S Manhas encouraged students for active participation and presented the winners with Certificates. First position was bagged by Team B Jasleen, Vishal and Kesar. Team G Kirti, Smriti and Arun stood second and Ahsan, Anvil, Urfee secured third position. The event was coordinated by the faculty Dr. B. K. Maiti, Dr. Avtar, Dr. Deepak, Dr. Dr. Ajay, Dr. Sumit, Dr. Ruby, Dr. Shalima and Dr. Dilpreet. The program ended with formal vote of thanks.
