‘PHD Chamber’s MSME facilitation cell to provide multiple services under one roof’

Srinagar, Jun 05 (KNS): PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries Kashmir Chapter Chairman Mushtaq Ahmed Chaya thanked the Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta and Finance Minister Syed Altaf Ahmed Bukhari for prompt action of taking of issue with Prime Minister of India of granting North Eastern based industrial package to J&K State.
Chaya said that the Meeting Called by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister was held at civil secretariat on Monday to discuss the issues pertaining to the Industrial sector of J&K State, in this meeting we requested the Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister to urge the central government for extending the Industrial benefits to J&K on North eastern pattern.
In this meeting the Ministers were apprised that the PHD Chamber Consequent to Government of India notifying a new Industrial Development Scheme for the Hilly States of J&K, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand has constituted the” Hilly States Council” and through this “Hilly states Council” we have already implored before the Secretary DIPP GOI and MSME GOI that the New Industrial Policy of Hilly States Should Cover all benefits under NEIDS (North East Industrial Development Scheme-2017).
In the Meeting the Ministers were also deliberated that the PHD Chamber has launched MSME facilitation Cell in J&K through Its Head office and this MSME Facilitation Cell will disseminate the Services like Start-up mentoring services, marketing to Government through GeM (Government e market place, Credit facilitation, and Credit Rating under one roof.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The PHD Chamber chairman pursued the intervention of the Deputy Chief Minister, Finance Minister and the State government with respect to various announcements made in Budget 2018-19.
The intervention from the Government was sought on the allocation of Budget announced for Industry Department to the Handloom Development Corporation J&K in order to facilitate the purchase of Handloom products as a Marketing support, Establishment of Rural Industrial Estates under MSE-CDP Scheme with central grant instead of Loan from NABARD, Implementation of Handicraft department proposal for revival of Carpet Industry, World Bank Loan for revival of Silk Industry as soft loan for entrepreneurs, Complete GST Exemption or refund for Hospitality Sector, 20% Price and Purchase preference for SSI units of J&K, and Grant of Amnesty for Settlement of Unresolved issues in the Old Tax Regime.
