Handwara, Aug 24 (KNS) Rajya Sabha member and senior National Conference leader Chaudhary Mohammad Ramzan on Monday undertook a comprehensive visit to the Chotipora Handwara Industrial Estate and the local Fruit Mandi, during which he took stock of the ground-level situation and listened to the grievances of industrialists, traders and other stakeholders.
During his visit to the Industrial Estate, Chaudhary Ramzan was received by industrialists and unit holders, who flagged a host of pressing issues, including dilapidated roads, erratic water supply, inadequate sanitation and other essential civic amenities. The industrial fraternity urged the NC leader to intervene and expedite the resolution of these long-pending demands.
Officials from various line departments, including Tehsildar Handwara, R&B Division, PHE Division, Municipal Committee Handwara and SICOP, were present during the visit and briefed the MP about the status of ongoing works.

Interacting with the industrialists, Chaudhary Ramzan assured them that their genuine demands would be taken up with the competent authorities for time-bound redressal. He also issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned officers to carry out a preliminary assessment of the basic issues confronting the estate and ensure their early resolution, so that better working conditions could be provided to both unit holders and workers.
Later, the Rajya Sabha member visited the Fruit Mandi, where he held a detailed interaction with fruit growers, traders and commission agents. He listened to their issues and requirements and assured them of all possible support from his end to address their difficulties and streamline trade-related facilities in the area. (KNS)
