Srinagar, Apr 17 (KNS): A T-20 Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by Congress General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi in Tral on Sunday. 

 

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Khalsa Premier League Sponsored by Manpreet Singh General Secretary JK Pradesh Youth Congress in association with Khalsa Sports Meerut commenced in Tral with 16 teams from different parts of the valley participating. 

 

Channi was welcomed by the organisers and a token of gesture was also presented. 

 

He also stated that such events should be given encouragement so that the youth get more involved in sports activities & refrain from drug abuse & other bad elements of the society.

 

Later Channi visited Khasipora & Monghama areas of Tral to meet different delegations. 

 

He urged the LG administration to sort issues related to electricity, water scarcity & road connectivity faced by the people of Tral at the earliest. (KNS)
