Srinagar, Nov 10 (KNS) : Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Monday inaugurated the Waqf Relief & Rescue (WRR) Platform at a function held at the Waqf Complex in Kishtwar. This new platform is the first of its kind in the entire Waqf network throughout India.
After the inauguration, Dr. Darakhshan said that the Waqf Board is a people’s organization and this platform of the Waqf Board will strengthen disaster management within the organization, helping people in need. “WRR will inspire others across India to take up such initiatives and restore the relevance of this organization on a broader canvas within society,” said Andrabi. She added that in the coming months, this platform will be linked to digital and technological tools to make it more effective.
The Waqf Chairperson later attended the Annual Urs celebrations at Darbar-e-Aasariya and Darbar-e-Faridia.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelShe participated in the Chhader-Poshi at the Sufi shrines of Shah Asrar-ud-Din (RA) and Shah Farid-ud-Din (RA) and prayed for peace and prosperity of the people.
Andrabi spoke to the media after paying obeisance at the shrines and reiterated the Waqf Board’s resolve to continue the spell of transformation and development at all Waqf Board–managed shrines throughout Jammu & Kashmir without fail. “We are committed to development, and we will put in all our strength to continue our mission amid all obstacles and hindrances,” said Dr. Darakhshan.
