Srinagar, Aug 01 (KNS): A delegation of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PHD CC&I) Kashmir Chapter headed by its Chairman Mushtaq Ahmed Chaya held a formal meeting with Khurshid Ganai, Advisor to Governor, on Wednesday for the advocacy of various issues and agendas related to Trade and Commerce, Tourism, Education, Revenue, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Horticulture/Floriculture, Animal/Sheep Husbandry, Transport, Hajj & Auqaf and Public Works, PHE/Irrigation & Flood Control.
The delegation sought the intervention of the Advisor for implementation of the Government Order of Finance Department regarding the Budget Announcement 2018-19 for treating Hotels & Resorts at par with the Industries for Payment of Power Tariff and requested for reimbursement of GST to the Hotels, Restaurants, Banquets and Travel Companies of J&K.
The Chamber also suggested that the registration for Private Schools should be made easier with Permanent “One-Time Registration” through online process & requested that the Education Committee of PHD Chamber J&K Should be taken on board for framing the Draft Education Policy of J&K.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
PHD Chamber also advocated for implementation of various Government of India Schemes & Programmes for different sectors of the society such as the ICDS Programme for Supply of Nutritional Items, Universal and Non Contributory Old Age Pension System, Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), e-Stamping, Implementation of Various Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) Program in agriculture sector.
Hearing these agendas, Advisor promptly issued an on-spot direction to Secretary Tourism and Director Tourism for resolving the power tariff of Hotels & Resorts as per the Government Order & concluded the session by assuring the PHD Chamber delegates for considering these policy agendas & it’s fast track implementation as these agendas will benefit major sections of the State.
