Srinagar, Oct 01 (KNS): Central Government Pensioners Welfare Association Srinagar (CGPWA) in association with premere educational institutions of Kashmir The Tyndale Biscoe & Mallinson school arranged a silent walk from Emporium Garden to Amirakadal to make people aware regarding the environmental awareness and fast worsening condition of once heritage walking space in kashmir called "THE BUND".
Members of CGPWA and students drawn from both schools walked through the area with plycards and banners with slogans written over them regarding the cleanliness and environmental concerns.
Led by its president S S Wazir and Director of Biscoe Mallinson Parevez Kaul started from Emporium Garden and culminated at Amirakadal Bridge.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Members MS Pandit, Gh Kangoi, GQ Bacha, Mushtaq Sadiq, Abdal Mahjoor, Hafiz Akhtar, Malik, GM Dilshad, Ghulam Mohidin Bhat, Muhammad Yaseen, Bashir Buch and Dr Rafeeq Masoodi were prominent among many. Biscoe team was led by Kaul and Aftab and Ms.Seema.
Children interacted with the commoners and reminded them of their duties of preserving the environment and ecological balance.
Unique thing was that it was a blend of yesterday; Today & Tomorrow (sr.citizens, children and future respectively) Later a joint session of interaction was held with the staff and the students of Biscoe and Mallinson schools in the premises of schools. (KNS)
