Srinagar, May 29 (KNS): Science and technology deptt has added new chapter in the state by installing solar lights and introducing new solar projects in state for quite some time now.
In an exclusive chat with chief executive officer science and technology, Prithvi Raj Dhar said in near future new projects will be introduced for the benefit of masses living in rural and urban areas. He said there was a time when the department used to concentrate on solar lights for its installation in the entire state but now with the advent of new technology new schemes are coming in the market and we want to make people and big institutes to get introduced with these projects.
Replying to a question regarding the transparency in empanelling the dealers in he department, he said our system is transparent and anybody is welcome subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions. He said department encourages all those who want to work honestly exhibiting sense of dedication.

Chief executive officer Prithvi Raj Dhar further added that the Jammu and Kashmir Energy development agency's efforts were on to make renewable energy accessible for all.
The department aims to, through its endeavours increase reach, use of renewable means by making it accessible, so as to integrate its use in every household. For this, the department is working on multiple fronts providing subsidized products consuming renewable energy including solar cooker, stoves, lamps, geysers and promotion of these gadgets by way of creating awareness among the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile Dy. Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Amin Malik too added that there is no scope of any corruption in our department as everything is online and is scrutinized by the agencies from time to time.
He further added there can't be any compromise with the quality of materials of solar lights or any other project and if anybody have any sort of complaint he must approach the department so that action against erring dealer be initiated. (KNS)
