Says Kupwara tops in recent enrolment drive, lauds efforts of staff

Kupwara, Jan 21 (KNS): The chief education officer Kupwara has issued strict orders to the government teachers, stating that strict action will be taken against those teachers who are found to be teaching in private coaching centres.

In a exclusive chat with the news agency KNS, CEO Kupwara, Abdul Hami Fani said that strict action will be taken against government teachers who are found to be involved in private teaching practices.

He said that he has already issued strict orders and if any teacher is found to be teaching in any private institute, strict action will be initiated against them.

He also said that in the recent enrolment drive led by education department Kupwara has topped the list, as 26300 admissions have been received from all the five zones of Kupwara.

“We have topped the list in J&K UT and this was a collective effort, I would like to give credit to my entire staff for this achievement,” he said.

He said that not only the other people but teachers teaching in government schools have admitted their wards in government schools in Kupwara.

“The trend is changing now. I have also directed my staff that they should have at least one decorated room where we can keep these newly enrolled kids and where we will provide them toys, chocolates, so that they can feel comfortable to continue their journey,” he said.

He further said that there is not much difference between government and private schools. “We have highly qualified teachers now, I request parents to grab the opportunity and admit their wards in government schools.”

He said that the directorate school of education has now started free winter coaching across the valley.

“We have also selected various schools to offer free coaching in all the zones of Kupwara with highly qualified faculty and other necessary arrangements like heating and lighting. Proper COVID-19 guidelines are also being put in place as per the directions of higher authorities. I would request all the parents to send their wards for free winter coaching,” he said. (KNS)
