Centre extends deputation tenure of IAS officer Shah Faesal by two years

 Srinagar, Aug 20 (KNS): The Centre has extended the central deputation tenure of IAS officer Shah Faesal by two years, according to an official order.

 
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Culture for extension of the central deputation tenure of Faesal, a 2010-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre.
 
Faesal is currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.
 
According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), his deputation has been extended for a period of two years beyond September 18, 2026, and up to September 18, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
 
The extension was approved on the basis of a proposal forwarded by the Ministry of Culture through its Office Memorandum dated July 14, 2026.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
Faesal has been on central deputation since September 19, 2022.
 
A former Jammu and Kashmir cadre officer before the cadre was merged into the AGMUT cadre, Faesal had secured the first rank in the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination in 2009.
 
He has held various administrative positions during his career before moving to the Centre on deputation.
 
The latest extension will allow him to continue in his present assignment in the Ministry of Culture until September 2028, subject to the "until further orders" provision in the government memorandum.(KNS).
