Baramulla, Aug 20 (KNS): Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ajeet Kumar Sahu on Thursday reviewed the implementation of various central government schemes during a visit to Tangmarg and Pattan areas of Baramulla district.
Sahu, who is the Central Prabhari Officer for Baramulla under the Aspirational District and Aspirational Block programmes, PM SHRI Schools and PMDDKY, inspected development initiatives and assessed their progress on the ground.
He visited PM SHRI Schools at Dobhiwan in Tangmarg and Gund Khwaja Qasim in Pattan, where he reviewed infrastructure, educational facilities and various initiatives being implemented under the scheme.
Sahu also interacted with students and sought feedback on their learning experiences, available facilities and aspirations.
The visit was aimed at assessing the ground-level implementation of the PM SHRI Schools, Aspirational District and Aspirational Block programmes and PMDDKY, besides identifying areas requiring further improvement.

Later, Sahu visited Singhpora in Pattan and inspected a newly established Health and Wellness Centre (Delivery Point).
The facility has been constructed using award money received under the NITI Aayog's Aspirational Blocks Programme and is aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving access to essential health services in the area.
Sahu stressed effective implementation of the schemes, optimal utilisation of resources and regular monitoring to ensure that the benefits of the government programmes reach the intended beneficiaries in a timely manner.
Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla Pranjal J Hazarika, Chief Planning Officer Nissar Ahmad, SDM Gulmarg and other officials accompanied Sahu during the visit.(KNS).
