Srinagar, Jul 12 (KNS): Central Masjid committee Banihal and civil society of the area have strongly condemned the attack on Amarnath Yatris at Botengu Anantnag and called upon the government to expose those irresponsible for the attack and punish them sternly.
In a statement issued to KNS, Chairman Central Masjid Committee Banihal Abdul Gani Tantray and civil society of the area said that the attack on Yatris was designed to defame Kashmiri Muslims and needs to be probed through an impartial inquiry.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Terming the attack an attack on Kashmir’s cultural ethos, Islam and religious brotherhood, they appealed people of all religions elsewhere in India not to allow vested interests to instigate communal tensions in any part of the country.
They expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and reiterated their full support to continuation of the Yatra till the last day. (KNS)
