Srinagar, Oct 29 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister on Wednesday informed the Assembly that the guidelines of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) have been amended to better reflect public needs and demands.
The Chief Minister said that under the revised norms, the earlier ceiling on works related to power infrastructure and solar lights has been removed, allowing legislators to undertake such projects without any upper financial limits.
He further stated that the list of permissible works under the CDF has been expanded.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelLegislators can now allocate funds for the purchase of school vans and buses, health aids such as wheelchairs, tricycles, and e-scooties, as well as for mobile water tankers.
The amendments, according to the Chief Minister, are aimed at enhancing the flexibility and utility of the scheme to ensure that funds are used more effectively for public welfare and local development needs.(KNS).
