Srinagar, May 27 (KNS): The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industries- Kashmir (CCIK) has expressed resentment over delay in macadamisation of roads in particular of Srinagar city, concerns about traffic mess.

According to a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), CCIK president Tariq Ghani said, that despite repeated pleas to the administration and concerned officials, things on ground have remained unchanged, as the maximum roads of Kashmir valley are yet to be macadamized.

"Half of the year has already passed and authorities concerned are yet to take repairment of the roads", he said.

Meanwhile,  expressing serious concerns over traffic mess in the Srinagar city. Ghani said, that traffic jamming has not only created chaos but has also affected business activities in main markets of the city.

Diversions created at Lal chowk, Jahengir chowk and Dalgate in particular by the traffic department are totally nonsense, as they are the source of traffic jamming in the city, he said.

"Instead of checking papers traffic cops deployed on vital roads should look at the traffic complications," Ghani added.

CCIK requests LG Manoj Sinha and IG Traffic to look into the matter so that the common people do not suffer the same problem.(KNS)
