CB Jammu produces chargesheet in land grabbing case

Jammu, Sept 15 (KNS): Crime Branch Jammu on Wednesday produced a chargesheet in the court of chief judicial magistrate Samba against three persons accused of grabbing land in Samba district.  

 

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS, a spokesperson said that Crime Branch Jammu produced chargesheet in case FIR NO. 05/2020 U/S 420,465,468,471,201,120-B IPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu against land grabbers for their involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy and selling out a piece of 7 Marlas land belonging to the complainant after preparing a false and fictitious agreement to sell it. 

 

“The accused involved are Ashok Kumar son of Sita Ram, Rajesh Kumar Sharma son of Roop Lal and Thakur Dass son of Late Sh Sant Ram—all residents of Samba,” reads the statement.

It reads that the charge-sheet has been produced in the Hon’ble CJM Court at Samba on 14.09.2021 for judicial determination. 

“Brief facts of the case are that a written complaint was lodged by Tara Singh S/O Randir Singh R/O Vijaypur, Samba in Crime Branch Jammu, alleging therein that the accused persons are involved in a criminal conspiracy of grabbing his land and also the land belonging innocent land owners of the area,” it reads. 

 

The statement reads that on receipt of the complaint a preliminary enquiry was initiated by Crime Branch, Jammu and during the course of enquiry, the allegations were prima-facie substantiated against the accused persons, leading to registration of the instant criminal case against the accused persons. 

 

“During the course of investigation documentary, oral evidence was collected and offences U/S 420,465,468,471,120-B IPC was proved against accused Ashok Kumar and Thakur Dass, while offences U/S 420,465,468,471,201,120-B IPC against accused Rajesh Kumar Sharma Samba have been proved,” it reads.
