Srinagar, Oct 29 (KNS): The casual labours from Ganderbal Singh forest division on Monday locked down the Division Forest Office (DFO) to mark a protest against what they termed as injustice with them.
The casual labourers while talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that there are 301 listed casual labourers while as the department has added a similar number of unknown casual labourers there, thus leaving the listed workers to suffer.
They said that the department has released the salaries of listed casual labourers but the concerned officer is claiming to disburse the amount in 635 casual labourers.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThey said that the unlisted casual labourers and not known to them and if the salaries have been released for listed only then why would it be disburse among others.
“We demand justice and the rights of casual labourers who are working hard and honestly should not be trampled,” they said.
They also urged the higher ups to look into the matter and fulfill their demands at an earliest. (KNS)
