Case against Asiya Andrabi: Shabir Shah reacts strongly

Expressing strong resentment over the registering of sedition case against the Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) chairperson Syeda Asiya Andrabi, on the behest of Indian government, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah said it is not a crime to wave Pakistani flag in any part of the “disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir”.
“How can waving Pakistani flag be a crime when the future of the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir State is yet to be decided. We want to make it clear that neither was J&K an integral part of India nor is hoisting or waving Pakistani flag here any crime. The Islamic Republic besides being a prime stakeholder of Kashmir dispute is our well-wisher nation and a strong advocate of our cause,” Shah, in a statement issued to media said.
“Whether hoisting Pakistani flag in any state of India is crime or not, waving it in Jammu Kashmir is not at all unconstitutional. Such act symbolizes the love of the people of Kashmir towards the nation of Pakistan,” Shah added.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Suggesting New Delhi to shun irresponsible and prejudicial approach and accept the ground realities of Kashmir issue, DFP Chairman said by waving Pakistani flag, Kashmiris are reiterating their demand of right to freedom. “Instead of resorting to registering of cases against leaders, India should prepare itself for holding referendum in the state to decide the future of Kashmiris. Both Indian and its local collaborators should understand that Pakistani flags are being waved in each and every household here. It would be better for them to register cases against the whole populace of the state. The case against Mohtarma Asiya Andrabi is nothing but a frustration on part of Indian and State administration. Such repressive and suppressive means cannot break our resolve and we stand by our sister at every step of life,” Shah added.
