Cabinet passes resolution condemning terror attack near Red Fort in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 12(KNS): The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in the car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10, terming it a heinous act of terror carried out by anti-national elements.

During the meeting, the Cabinet observed a two-minute silence in memory of the victims and unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the attack. The explosion, which occurred on the evening of November 10, claimed several lives and left many others injured.

In its resolution, the Cabinet paid solemn respects to those who lost their lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. It also wished for the speedy recovery of those injured and lauded the efforts of medical personnel and emergency responders who provided immediate assistance at the scene.

“The Cabinet unequivocally condemns this dastardly and cowardly act that has led to the loss of innocent lives,” the statement said, reaffirming India’s policy of zero tolerance toward terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The Cabinet also appreciated the timely and coordinated response of security agencies, local authorities, and citizens who acted with courage and compassion during the crisis.

It recorded its gratitude for the expressions of solidarity and support received from several governments across the world.

Directing that the investigation be carried out with urgency and professionalism, the Cabinet emphasized that those responsible — including perpetrators, collaborators, and sponsors — must be identified and brought to justice without delay.

The statement added that the situation continues to be closely monitored at the highest levels of the government. The Cabinet reaffirmed the Government of India’s steadfast resolve to protect the lives and well-being of its citizens and maintain national security.

The resolution underlined that India will continue to stand united and resilient against terrorism, ensuring that such acts of violence do not weaken the country’s determination to preserve peace and security.(KNS).
