Srinagar, Dec 3 (KNS): In a major shakeup of its employees, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) department has shifted nearly one thousand employees in five districts of the valley following complaints by people against them.
Director CA&PD Abdul Rashid Var told KNS that 991 employees, from store keepers to Kandamen, have been reshuffled in Anantnag, Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara and Kulgam after people in these districts complained against these officials about their attitude and dealing with the public.
“Our department is for the public only. We have directed our employees to maintain a proper behaviour while dealing with the people whose concerns are our main duty and responsibility.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelBut if the people complain about the employees, we have to deal with such employees,” Var told KNS.
He said that the department is going to reshuffle employees of rest of the districts against whom there are complaints.
“The department will be overhauled to maintain transparency and people friendly attitude and approach,” the director said.
Besides, those employees who have been posted at a particular place for a long time will also be transferred, he said. (KNS)
