Srinagar, 16 December:(KNS)  The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Wednesday said the Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari’s lofty claim on ushering Development in Srinagar has no takers as his deliverance in his capacity as the Finance Minister of the state was zero-sum.

In a statement to KNS reads, here we have a person who is promising to turn over a new leaf and usher in an era of development in Srinagar, while in his capacity as the finance minister of the state, he wasn’t able to bring about any visible change on the ground, said Party’s Additional Spokesperson Sarah Hayat Shah. She said that Bukhari in his capacity as the finance minister did nothing substantial to help Srinagar overcome the devastation that was wrecked by the floods. On the contrary, she said Bhukhari snatched the humble meals from the plates of children by implementing food security Act. She said the person who is selling dreams to people now is the same person who pushed the artisans to the wall by implementing GST. “Why didn’t he do anything to lessen the sufferings of people then? Far from ensuring even-handed development of Srinagar, he plunged the entire urban population into never-ending chaos by pursuing anti artisan policies,” she said.

Terming his claims on steering the politics of truth as comical, Sarah said that Bukhari before coming up with an amalgamation of serial turncoats, peddled another political idea. “Nothing is hidden from people, who know how he teamed up with serial political turncoats at a time when the entire mainstream block was in jails. Far from raising the voice against the undemocratic measures, he used the time to cobble an alliance of minions to mainstream the biggest ever blunder committed on the people of J&K,” she said adding that Bukhari’s giant leap across the political , ideological divide has exposed him beyond any doubt.

Responding to his remarks where he had questioned the Kashmir leadership by asking them where they were when Articles 370 and35 A were rescinded, she said, “The leadership unlike him was in jails. Could he tell where he was? Wasn’t he enjoying lavish dinners at New Delhi, when the entire populace of the state was finding it difficult to have two square meals? He is on the wrong side of history, treading the path of his prototypes,” he said. (KNS)
