Budgam, Jan 03 (KNS): A complete shutdown was observed in the Budgam district over the killing of Shia cleric, Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr.
All the shops, business establishments in the district remained closed while traffic remained off the roads, eye-witnesses said.
However, private vehicular movement played normally.
The Shia fraternity in the district also held a protest and raised slogans against the killers.
While addressing to the people, President of Anjuman-e-Shari-e-Shia, Aga Syed Hassan, said that the reason behind the killing of cleric was spreading Islam in the country.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“He was the person who always spoke over the friendly relation between Shia Muslims and Sunni Muslims,” Aga said.
Condemning the killing of Nimr, Aga demanded that the killers should be dealt with strictly. (KNS)
