Srinagar, Oct 2 (KNS): Residents of Budgam Friday resented shifting of J&K Bank’s Cluster Head Office from its present place at main town Budgam to new place Bemina.
Eyewitnesses told KNS that scores of residents of the Budgam town assembled near J&K Bank’s main branch and protested against the shifting of Cluster office to Bemina.
Witnesses said that bank officials loaded lockers, chairs and tables and other movable infrastructure from the cluster office in a truck to be shifted to Bemina.
They said when locals came to know that J&K Bank authorities have decided to shift the cluster office they staged protest demonstrations.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Protesters also stopped moving of infrastructure to the new place,” they said.
Terming it anti-people movement, locals said that shifting of the office to Bmina from Budgam would be “injustice” with whole public of the district.
“Budgam is a district headquarter and as a prime location for everyone to reach with ease from any village of the district,” Budgam locals said.
They said that shifting the cluster office would only add to the woes of the public. (KNS)
