Budgam, Aug 14(KNS): The Residents of Kanigund-Khansahib area of Central kashmir's Budgam district Saturday staged a protest against R&B division Budgam and district administration for incompletion of bridge which is pending from last 35 years.

Protesters told Kashmir News service (KNS), that the bridge was inaugrated in 1997 and few structures were made by the concerned department and since then the bridge is incomplete due to negligence and failure of district administration Budgam. 

They said that the bridge connects two Tehsils of the district and people from both sides suffer due to incompletion of bridge.

The locals also alleged that due to political interference from  the two constituencies of budgam the bridge turned a political tool for them 

According to residents of Kanigund, the bridge has been made of timber provided by one of the local. 

The protesters appealed the district administration to start the pending on the said as soon as possible so that the locals can breath sigh relief (KNS).
