Budgam, Mar 03 (KNS): The District Administration Budgam on Friday organised a warm farewell function to honour outgoing Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nikhil Borkar upon his transfer from the district.
The function, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Budgam Athar Aamir Khan, was attended by senior officers from the civil and police administration, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner, senior police officers, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Tehsildars, Station House Officers, and officials from various departments.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the dedicated services rendered by the outgoing SSP during his tenure in the district. He highlighted Borkar’s professional competence, effective leadership, and close coordination with the civil administration in maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety.
The DC noted that Borkar’s tenure was marked by proactive policing, responsiveness, and strong public engagement initiatives that strengthened public confidence in the administration.

Several officers shared their experiences of working with Borkar, commending his commitment, discipline, and people-friendly approach to policing.

He acknowledged the collective efforts of police personnel and the civil administration in maintaining peace and serving the people effectively.
