SP Sopore says person under custody for further questioning

Sopore, Dec 05 (KNS): A man working with BSF as a contractor was on Sunday held along with “unauthorised” cash of Rs 5 lac in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, Officials said here.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the man identified as Ishfaq Ahmed Khan son of Abdul Aziz was held along with “unauthorised” cash of Rs 5 lakh during frisking in Tarzoo area of Sopore today.

He said that the man is working as a contractor with BSF's 91 BN stationed at Nougam in Handwara.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Sopore, Sudhanshu Verma told KNS that they intercepted a person and recovered a cash amount of Rs 5 lakh from his possession.

"The person is under custody for further questioning,” he said. (KNS)
