Srinagar, Oct 19 (KNS): Amid shutdown protests Thursday rocked Hazratbal area of Srinagar following a fresh braid-chopping incident in Dhobi Mohalla area last night.
Reports reaching to KNS said that the residents took to streets and staged massive demonstrations against the increasing braid-cutting incidents.
Shops and other business establishments remained closed in the area while thin movement of traffic was seen on the roads.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The braids of over 100 women and young girls have been mysteriously chopped off across the Valley during the past month, while the Police has formed an SIT as well but continue to remain clueless.
At several places, vigilante mobs have thrashed innocents after mistaking them as braid choppers.
These incidents have already created fear psychosis across Kashmir with fear griping the women folk. (KNS)
