Boys Hr Sec Sopore hosts The Monter for the career development workshop

Sopore, July 05 (KNS) : A day-long Career counselling workshop was organized on Tuesday in Sopore town of North Kashmir by The Monter, a career counselling organization based out in Srinagar with the vision to empower students with the knowledge to help them make wiser decisions while choosing their careers. 

The event was held at Boys Higher Secondary School in Sopore town which was presided over by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, Parveez Sajad Ganaie who was chief guest on the occasion. While addressing the students said that there is a dire need for career guidance in the region.

"Career counseling and guidance helps students in a larger way in choosing the right careers and effective career counseling and guidance is the requirement for all-round development of students," the ADC said.

Speakers during the event informed students about various aspects of employability and the provisions like scholarships, self-employment schemes, competitive exams as career options and latest trends in counseling.

While talking with the Kashmir News Service (KNS), Balkhi Mahreen, Director The Monter said, that the main aim of the event was to raise the career of the students and help the students in every way in making their decision easier. 

She said, that one must be the goal oriented as this would help them to take a path of which they would get succeed. 

"Our mission is to rise up the career of the students and help the students in every way in making their decision easier", Mahreen added. 

Zonal Educational Officer (ZEO) Sopore, Abdul Salaam Dar and Principal Boys higher secondary school Sopore, Abdul Rashid Dar were guest of honor on the occasion. 

Managing director NIIT, Faheem Khan, Malik Hariss, Saba Bhat, Rapper Ashu, Babber Mudasir and Junaid Bhat were present on the occasion. Besides civil dignitaries, students of various schools were also present on the occasion. 

The occasion ended up with an award distribution ceremony. Meritorious students of various schools were also facilitated which include Soliya Showket Malik, Khushboo Showkat and Bisma Rashid of Girls higher secondary school Sopore, Nasir Majeed, Uzair Majeed, Basit Nazir, Shariq Altaf, Mohammad Musaid, Umair Shafi, Faizan Zahoor, Zahid Ashraf and Tasaduk Hussain of Boys higher secondary school Sopore and Toiba Hassan, Mir Tawqeer and Asima Batool of the Unique Educational Institute Duroo, Sopore.(KNS)
