Srinagar, June 05 (KNS): Appealing the people of Islamabad to boycott the upcoming assembly elections, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Saturday said “those fighting elections are the very people who are massacring our youth and using lethal weapons like pellet guns and pepper gas against the people”.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said it doesn’t befit us to vote for those who are bent to attack our identity in the garb of Sainik and Pandit colonies.
He challenged the government to compete the resistance leadership on a political platform and “see the results”.
Shah asked people to realise how the administration is keeping the real leadership under detention and putting thousands of pro-freedom youth behind bars. “Still, these shameful people are begging for votes. This is because they have lost conscience,” he said.
Shah in his message to people of Islamabad said: “I hope you will revere the sacrifices of our great martyrs by boycotting the so-called deceptive elections.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelGo and seek answers from these people about the massacres like Bijbehara, Handwara. Ask them about the crocodile tears they used to shed over the funeral of martyrs and during the hanging of Shaheed Afzal Guru. Ask them why Kashmiri businessmen are attacked outside state; seek answers about the anti-Kashmir policies and conspiracies. Reality is that they are only misleading the general masses.”
The pro-freedom leader said no nation of the world puts itself in destruction by supporting the killers. “We just want to remind our people that participating in the electoral politics amounts to treason with the blood of our revered martyrs and it strengthens the India’s illegal and forcible occupation on the state of Jammu Kashmir,” he said.
