Tangmarg, February 16 (KNS) : Residents of Boneshoora village in Tangmarg today raised strong concerns over the acute shortage of drinking water, staging a protest to highlight their prolonged suffering due to the lack of proper water supply.
Former Cabinet Minister and Senior Vice President of the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, Ghulam Hassan Mir, expressed serious concern over the situation and termed the issue a basic necessity that cannot be ignored. He urged the concerned Executive Engineer and other authorities to take immediate steps to provide the required water pipes and restore regular drinking water supply to the village without further delay.

Mir said that access to safe drinking water is a fundamental right of every citizen, and the people of Boneshoora should not be forced to protest for such essential needs. He emphasized that timely intervention by the administration can resolve the grievance and prevent further hardship for the residents.
He called upon the concerned department to act swiftly and ensure that the necessary infrastructure is put in place so that the issue is addressed permanently. (KNS)
