Srinagar, Feb 13 (KNS): Condemning the use of excessive force against civilians in Frisal village of Kulgam district by Indian occupational forces, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Monday said forces are always in search of an excuse to target the innocent people. He said the justice-loving people across the world should condemn such acts by Indian forces.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah expressed grief over the martyrdom of Aashiq Ahmad Reshi and Mushtaq Ahmad Itoo saying that targeting civilians after facing the brave Mujahideen in encounter is a cowardly act on part of occupational forces.
Shah termed it inhuman the firing of teargas shells, pellets, and bullets on civilian population after encounter with Mujahideen saying the blood-thirsty Indian forces are finding excuses to shed bloodshed in the valley.
Urging the justice-loving people and bodies of the world to break silence over the grave situation in Kashmir, Shah said immediate action is needed to stop Indian oppression in valley.
“Why doesn’t the government of India reply as to why pellets and bullets are reserved for only Kashmiris, why non-lethal weapons aren’t used against civilian protesters in Indian states?Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel” he said.
“Until such suppressive acts are stopped and the people of Jammu Kashmir given their right to self-determination, the just and genuine struggle will continue,” Shah added.
Meanwhile, on the directions of Shabir Ahmad Shah, a party delegation led by Molvi Sajad Ahmad and Molvi Bashir Ahmad and comprising Adil Bashir, Nazir Ahmad, Syed Ahmad Saeed visited Frisal, Kulgam and expressed solidarity with the owner of the house where encounter took place.
The delegation also visited the families of martyrs and paid tributes to Shaheed Mudassir Ahmad Tantray, Shaheed Vakeel Ahmad Thokar, Shaheed Mohammad Younis Lone, and Shaheed Farooq Ahmad Bhat.
The delegation while extending Shabir Ahmad Shah’s message to the families said, “The whole nation is with you at this hour of grief and we’re indebted to you. Your brave sons sacrificed their precious lives for a greater cause and sent a strong message to the oppressor. We’re committed to take the mission of martyrs to its logical end”. (KNS)
