Srinagar, May 13 (KNS): Gujjar and Bakerwal students association has said that the BJP is dividing people in the state and the statement is without reality.
“We appeal to the BJP leader kindly don't try to divide us. We are one and will remain one in future too. On the one hand our people are being evicted by BJP Ministers from our respective lands where we are living since decades. Several have been made homeless and landless by yours minister from Jammu region,” said Zahid Parwaz Choudhary and Choudhary Fayaz Karnahi, young student leaders, in a joint statement.
“We are still waiting for the implementation of Forest Right act in the State, which has been implement in across India except J&K. 60 years have passed we are still waiting for the political reservation in State, on the one side SC peoples are enjoying the similar rights in the state and mere we are being ignored to it deliberately by politicians, 70 years have been passed we are still waiting for the permanent settlement of our peoples who have no land for agriculture and no land to construct their houses for shelter they added
“On the one side West Pakistani refugees are being settled, all the basic amenities and other constitutional rights are being provided to them and on the other side we are being deprived from all this.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelKashmiri Pandits are being settled in the Valley. We are not against their settlement but we want to ask to you why the process of settlement of our people is not being initiated by your government,” they asked.
Reacting to the Kashmir Conclave being organised by opposition parties in India, BJP spokesperson, Virendra Gupta, has said that those talking of dialogue with separatists don't know ground reality of Kashmir.
Gupta has mentioned that it merely constitute about 20% area of J&K, the people of Jammu and Ladakh region, Kashmiri Pandits, Shia Muslims, Gujjar & Bakerwal communities are the major stake holders and they are against the elements who are creating turmoil in Kashmir Valley is mere a ridiculous and condemnable.
“Those leaders who can’t provide us security during migration period and their RSS minded peoples harass us on the name of cow Rakshaks. If you can’t issue the statement against them for their coward act, you have no right to divide us on the name of Gujjar or Kashmiri. We have become fed -up your unfulfilled pledges and broken promises made by you since 1947,” they said. (KNS)
