Srinagar, Jan 03 (KNS): Congress on Tuesday said that the Bharatia Janata Party (BJP) is raising issues with aim to divide society on communal lines.
Addressing a news conference here at Circuit house, former minister (Harayana) and senior Congress leader Aftab Ahmad said, “Issuing domicile certificates to West Pakistani Refugees (WPR) is among the issues raised by BJP with aim to divide the people on communal lines.”
He said that their decisions are always motivated by their policy by - giving benefits to their own people.
“BJP can go to any extend to be in the power. The party doesn’t bother about the sufferings of people. I believe the party is not having any agenda for the welfare of people,” he said, adding that the PDP-BJP alliance in Jammu and Kashmir is in their policy to be in the power.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“I believe that issuing domicile certificates to WPRs is not an attempt to erode Article 370 but a well planned conspiracy to divide the people on communal lines through which they are going to take benefits,” he said.
He said that the Congress party won’t allow the government to divide the people on communal lines. “We as opposition won’t allow them to raise anti-people issues and will fight against the anti-people policies tooth and nail,” he adds.
Referring to demonetization, Aftab said, “Demonetization is a scam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced demonetization with several aims but unfortunately, nothing changed on the ground.”
He said that the people of India suffered with this decision. (KNS)
