BJP Suspends Kupwara district president two days after his son was injured

Srinagar, July 18(KNS): Two days after his son was injured, Bhartiya Janta party (BJP) unit head of Kashmir on Sunday suspended it's District president from Kupwara. 

 

The action was taken two days after his son was injured after a rifle of his PSO went off accidently in his vehicle in Kupwara district. 

 

BJP general secretary for North Kashmir Mudasir Wani told Kashmir News Service, (KNS), that the BJP district president for Kupwara Mohd Shafi has been suspended from the party and the party has sought explanation from him about the fire incident in which his son got injured. 

 

He said that the party has also framed a committee, headed by Gulam Mohd Mir spokesman, to come up with a report by 25th of the July. 

 

Sources said that Mohd Shafi has been Detained by Kupwara police for further investigation into the said incident.

 

Meanwhile, BJP spokesman Altaf Thakur also confirmed the development to KNS and said that they have formed a committee to find out how his son was injured two days ago in firing incident. (KNS).
