Srinagar, Nov 02 (KNS): Bhartiya Janata Party has criticised “double-talk” of secularism that the JKPCC is employing in J&K.
In a statement to KNS, BJP spokesperson for the state, Arun Gupta, said, “It is both dishonourable and unprincipled on the JKPCC’s part to lead people into believing that the BJP has vested interests in Jammu and Kashmir and is dividing the people of the state on communal lines. Is clearing NC-Congress muck communal? Is working towards the development of the state communal? Development provides employment in turn. Does JKPCC intend to push the idea that employment and prosperity is communal? Decades of inefficient rule by the two players has left the state in lurch. The BJP-PDP combine is looking to reinvigorate normalcy in the state.”
Driving the wedge further, Gupta questioned the intent behind the new found anti-India enthusiasm displayed by the JKPCC and the NC, “The JKPCC along with the NC completely opposed the Accession day celebrations.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAren’t they actually trying to confuse the people over the conclusiveness of J&K’s Accession to India? Furthermore, is that not trying to instigate the people in Kashmir on communal lines?”
He added, “The people of Ladakh are sharp and have an astute understanding of what they want. JKPCC or for that matter NC’s divisive designs fell flat on their face in LAHDC elections as the people over there want to see development. Once the results of true development start showing, it is only a matter of time then, that the populace in Kashmir as well will start opening its eyes to the politics of hate that the two major players in Kashmir have been propagating. Everyone at the end of the day needs reassurance in the form of security of employment, food and shelter. These are the fruits of development. Development is BJP’s vested interest in Jammu and Kashmir.” (KNS)
