BJP leaders visit flood-hit Pulwama, assure relief and rehabilitation


Srinagar, Sept 10 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Sat Sharma (CA) and Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma on Wednesday visited several flood-affected villages of Pulwama district, including Padgaampora, Wandakhpora, Hanjipora and Goripora, to take stock of the situation and express solidarity with residents.

They were accompanied by J&K BJP vice president Dr Shehnaz Ganie, general secretaries Mohammad Anwar Khan and Gopal Mahajan, Pulwama district president Er Showkat Gayoor, social media co-incharge Sajad Raina and other senior leaders.

Sat Sharma said the BJP stands firmly with Pulwama’s people in this crisis, urging the administration to speed up relief measures, compensation and healthcare facilities. “The BJP has always been with people in distress and will monitor the situation until normalcy returns,” he said.

LoP Sunil Sharma stressed that the party’s priority is to ensure aid reaches every affected family without delay or discrimination. “We will not rest until every household is rehabilitated and every damaged field recovers,” he added.
