Srinagar, Mar 25 (KNS): After three months long stalemate over government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Friday once again elected Dr Nimral Singh as the Deputy Chief Minister candidate and has extended their support to PDP to form the dispensation with the government.
Speaking after BJP legislators met in Jammu, BJP’s state BJP president Sat Pal Sharma has said, “The party has elected Dr Nirmal Singh as its leader for state’s Lower House of Assembly and nominated him for the deputy chief minister's post in the new coalition government,” he has said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Mufti, who is set to become the first woman chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, is expected to meet Governor NN Vohra at 4.30 pm and the BJP legislators at 5.30 pm today.
Besides the BJP legislators, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh and BJP general secretary and Jammu and Kashmir incharge Ram Madhav, also attended the meeting. (KNS)
